My story is about abrham lincin he was a intelgint man. He was very very tall. He was also a very onist man he was born in febyery 12^th and he was alected in the year of 1860 and he endid slavery. We anor him but I have some more things to tell you about him he wore a big big big hat. When he was a kid he worked for his famly and he did not go to school. He was the 16^th presdint. He cept all of his noste in his hat. He dide cas a man shot him and the next moning he dide.

100th day of school

Wednesday was the 100th day of school. I brought in 100 froot loops, and I read 100 words in a newspaper about Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama.

I was excited for Thursday, not only because it was Valentines day, but because it was the

Hundred and Oneth day of school.

Sydney: Ignorant is not a bad word.

Honica

My family and I celebrate a special holiday. We celebrate Honica. It is special because we sped tim toghether. First we lit the cadls. Then we owpin are presis. Next we sig hebraw sags. Finally, we ett ptatow lotas. Honica is fun and issiding.

For those not fluent in First Grade Spelling : We celebrate Hanukah. It is special because we spend time together. First we light the candles. Then we open the presents. Next, we sing hebrew songs. Finally we eat potato latkes. Hanukah is fun and exciting.

(Mommy note: I love First Grade Spelling!!! It's the cutest! When Sydney was a first grader, she wrote an essay on how much she wanted a dog. She wrote on the essay, "I want to get a Norfuck Terrier". :)

Dirty Blonde

My hair is blond, actually dirty blond. Dirty blond is blonde hair with pieces of brown in it.

What I want to learn in First Grade

My teacher made a movie about us. We all had to say what we wanted to learn in first grade. This is what I said,

"I want to learn to be a better person. I want to be smart like my sisters and read chapter books."

I really love first grade. I also told everyone I would like them to call me monkey.

Conversation my Mom had with my friends Zoe and Tara

Mommy came to pick us up at school today. She decided to wear her hair curly today, instead of straight, because grandmom told her it would look nice. It didn't look as nice as mommy had hoped.

Zoe took one look at my mommy and said,"what happened to your hair?"
Mommy told her, "I had a problem with the blow-dryer".

Then my friend Tara looked at mommy and said, "what did you do to your hair?"
Zoe explained, "she used the wrong blow-dryer"
Tara replied, "was it the dog's?"

My friends made my mommy feel extra-special today!

The thing about names.

I had this teacher once named Mrs. Rosen-Bomb. What kind of name is that? Why would I want a teacher whose name was about an explosion?

Sydney is the greatest 11 year old I have known
She likes macaroni and cheese, the computer and her phone

My sister Hayley is nice as well
Sometimes she's mean but I won't tell

My mommy Lori is the best mom ever

Pigs and Purim

We were happy to attend Purim services on Saturday evening. Our Synagogue did a great re-telling of the Purim story, and we were very excited to shake our groggers when they mentioned Hamen (booo).

Here is a conversation Addie and Mommy had while trying to leave the house for services.

Addison: Can I bring my piggy? (he is a new favorite stuffed animal)
Mommy: (frustated, and trying to get out the door) No, you can't bring a pig to synagogue, he's not kosher.
Addison: Yeah, but he's not dead yet.

It's My Birthday!

I turn 6 today, but I told my mommy its kind of like being five. But I'm excited to have my birthday. We are having cupcakes at school, and I got a big button that says happy birthday. My sisters gave me fur real friends. A pig named Wilbur and a sheep named Tessie. I already have a little chimp. I named that one Hilda.

I hope I go to Chuck E. Cheese today!

Chinese baby, Santa and Chuck E. Cheese Tokens

I put a token in my stocking. Santa did it. I felt really proud of myself. Because I was a good girl.

I slept so much Lia came out of Aunt Wendi's belly :). That was totally wierd. I was so happy. It was a Chinese baby that came out of her real mommy's belly in China. China is far far away. And people don't talk like in our language. She should take her to a Chinese restaurant so she can know what Chinese things are like. If you have a Chinese baby that you adopted, you must care and love your baby, just like if it came out of your belly. It's hard to believe that so many people had girls instead of boys. Sometimes you're happy, sometimes you're sad. Whether or not you don't have to have one or you can!

The moms get kind of sad, they cry, because they miss their babies. They never see them grown up they only see them when they come out of the moms belly. That's the only day. You must not let your baby have candy. They will choke and get very sick. It's hard to be a mother, when you have a baby.

My Future Husband

I went to Chuck E. Cheeses. I liked the thing where you go up and up, you know the the high thing, and when you pedal it goes higher. I went with Mommy and Megan. The best part was eating together, and when we told Chuckie, "You're hot I want to marry you".

Lunch with Maddie

Mommy: Did you have a good time at Maddie's house?
Addie: Yes
Mommy: Did you eat all your lunch?
Addie: Yes
Mommy: What did you eat?
Addie: They made me eat a Gross Sandwich.
Mommy: What's a Gross Sandwich?
Addie: It's the kind of sandwich made with cheese and pig.

Happy New Year

We saw Wicked on New Years Eve and I really loved it. Especially the part when the witch was a green baby.
